This wiki page was created to have a central document where the current state of the kitchen, the work to do, as well as how to's can be combined.

The kitchen is very often left in a horrible shape and needs some general overhauling, which is a combined effort.

  • last major purge happened on 27.07.2025
• clean out clutter
  • kitchen appliances need to be sorted through
    • most broken non-stick pans and pots have been moved to hack-me, since they should no longer be used to cook
  • non-kitchen appliances need to be removed from kitchen

please refrain from buying non-stick coating items. They have a generally worse performance and will need to be replaced on a somewhat regular basis; especially if people don't take proper care of them. Stainless steel nearly indestructible and therefore a much better option.

Same applies to plastic or wooden utensils. They are either prone to your typical issues with plastic, or in the case of wood, are not suitable for a space with our lack of hygiene!
