Pre-Check
Does the date collide with another event?
Post notifications on mastodon, best case 1 week before, one day before and on the day of the talk
Checklist for every talk
Informations / Metadata for the talk (Sent by the speaker to the r3voc)
Does the speaker want to play audio from the laptop? (as of now, it is not possible to record this audio)

Are there questions during the talk or after the talk?
Inform all guests that if recorded/streamed, everything said will be on the internet
Check that the yealink telephone is muted / turned off
Check that the air compressor is turned off / not plugged in
Check that the Extron Video Switcher is set to output 1080p@25fps or else the encoder will not start (search for “extron” in
IP Adressen)
Changing the lights is prohibited except if done by r3voc to avoid camera problems

Here you can find many issues with possible fixes.
Capture card is all black
Most probably it is a HDCP problem. Check if the “HDCP Authorized” checkmark is disabled. If not, then you have found a new problem.
Another reason might be that the Output Format is set to AUTO, which does not work if the capture card is not used in between two devices but rather as a standalone capture card (when the output of the capture card is not connected)
Also check that the refresh rate matches the deployed config, which typically is 25 Hz
